Volunteering Sunshine Coast was proud to attend the Sports On! Information Session hosted by Marty Hunt MP, alongside Brent Mickelberg MP, on Wednesday 8th October. The evening brought together local sporting clubs to explore grant opportunities, support programs, and practical strategies to strengthen their organisations.

A key focus of the session was volunteer retention—a challenge shared by many community clubs. VSC was invited to share insights and strategies to help clubs build sustainable volunteer engagement. We’re committed to supporting local sport and recreation groups by connecting them with passionate volunteers and providing tools to foster long-term involvement.

It was a fantastic opportunity to collaborate with community leaders and club representatives, and we look forward to continuing our support for grassroots sport across the Sunshine Coast.
