Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS)
We’re delighted to shine a light on the wonderful work of the Nambour Seventh-day Adventist Church Community Visitation Program, part of the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS).
This heartwarming program connects Volunteer Visitors with Residents in Aged Care Facilities who share similar interests. A friendly visit — just one hour per fortnight — can make a world of difference! Volunteers may choose to spend time one-on-one or visit small groups of up to three residents.
Visits can include simple joys like sharing a cuppa, chatting, or even heading out for a trip to the beach, local shops, or the library. Each visit helps nurture friendship, laughter, and community connection — enriching the lives of both Residents and Volunteers alike.
